After looking through some of my classmates project ideas, I have thought of some ways that we can maybe incorporate multiple ideas into singular cohesive themes? For example, here are some of my ideas based on the thoughts of fellow classmates:
One student said “When I first watched Jordan’s Every Hour Vlog videos a long time ago, I really liked the idea of vlogging every hour instead of simply a highlight reel of a single day. I felt that it gave me a full picture of Jordan’s day, almost like I was experiencing it along with him. Because of that, I’d like to do something similar.”
another student said “Maybe we could have a sub-theme so that everyone’s work is related to a theme or a question. Some ideas could be, childhood, favorite things to do, passions, goals, relationships, etc.”
and another idea was ” Or, you could convey it through written writing such as fiction and creative non-fiction. Stories and their meanings are easy to tell. “
Combining these ideas, what if we all chose a common theme of some part of our lives that we would like to tell the story of. For example, passions, goals, relationships, as stated above. We could all tell the story of how one of these things evolved or came to be over time. This also connects with the other idea to write creative non-fiction. I love to write, so I will be biased in hoping we can incorporate writing into the final assignment. Writing about my life creatively is not something I have done before but it definitely sounds interesting and connects to other classmates’ ideas of talking about life stories. To my understanding there would have to be some video making aspect of the project, and I feel that this could tie in with the vlog every hour idea. We could showcase where we are today in relation to the rest of our story? I think this would be a cool way to combine some ideas for the final project.
